MTC Motorsport BMW 630i and 730i Stainless Steel Decat Downpipe
Please note, this fits the 2018 models with the OPF filter. Please contact us if you are unsure. The connection at the bottom is not sleeved like the early cars, please check this before ordering as the 2016-17 models are different. If you are unsure i would need to see the connection under the car to the standard mid pipe before you ordered.
- The downpipe is machined from SS304 aircraft-grade stainless steel and are tig welded in house
- The top section is made from one piece with no welds unlike other cheap alternatives
- The B48 downpipe is made of 3.5” stainless pipe straight out of the turbo providing a sharper throttle response due to faster spool of the turbo
- Noticeable power gains of 12-15bhp and a much more aggressive exhaust note which sounds truly amazing
- Produces lower temperatures and less exhaust backpressure due to the relief of the turbocharger. Also, the cylinder charge is increased
- There is also a substantial weight saving in comparison to the factory catalytic converter
- Mandrel-bent for better gas flow and maximum internal size to ensure ultimate performance without the loss of mid-range torque
This downpipe will fit the following F and G chassis models with the B48 engine:
- BMW 120i 2018 onwards
- BMW 220i, 230i and 230ix 2018 onwards
- BMW 320i, 330i, 330ix and 330e 2018 onwards
- BMW 420i, 430i and 430ix 2018 onwards
- BMW 630i and 730i 2018 onwards
- All B48 2.0l petrol turbo engines with flared connection
Professional installation is recommended as some exhausts sit slightly different from others and can be tight although the feedback we have received from this product is that it is very easy to fit.
We also recommend purchasing a Lambda Sensor Spacer(s) to prevent the engine light coming on in most cases. If the car has OPF you will most likely need to tune it to prevent limp mode. If you search our other items you will find these.
