McLaren 720S 765LT Silicone Turbo Intake Induction Inlet Hoses Red | MTC Motorsport

Having an issue with one of our own vehicles we thought we best make a solution to cure the problem for good that would last a lifetime and here they are.

On the 720S and the 765LT the plastic turbo intake hoses have a baffle inside that collapses and ends up being sucked into the turbo causing a loss of power or high a pitch whistling noise, and in some cases complete turbo failure. And believe me with McLaren’s hourly rate you do not want this!

Every single car at some point in its life is going to need these replacing as they will all fail. Everyone absolutely should replace these immediately before they cause an issue.

To fit them takes around 2 hours and can be done by simply taking out the rear arch liners. Cutting round the flexible part on the original hoses to get them out makes it much easier.

While replacing these is very important for any 720S/765LT owner one of the main upsides was the power increase, on a standard car these made 24bhp more than it did with the standard plastic intake hoses on there. The throttle response is improved and the induction noise also sounds better.
